While playing with my hacked Kodak Zi8 and fisheye lens, I had a quick look around for applications (and iOS apps) to stitch together the resulting images and found an iPhone
app called Pixeet 360. The app is a free download which does two things – firstly it allows you to view panoramas from the Pixeet site and second take panoramic shots using their fisheye lens. The viewer is a good as most of the others on the market (better than Floaty 360) but the panorama creation option has an expensive sting in the tail.
In order to use the offline panorama generation you have to purchase one of Pixeet’s own lenses and enter a validation code to activate the software. You can use the cheaper magnetic fisheye lenses but without the lens activation code you have to submit to using the online processing server – free for 50 panorama uploads per month. Not too much of a problem while you’re on a fast wifi link but near impossible on 3G(and watch those data charges go through the roof if you’re not on an unlimited plan). You can see the resulting image below or on the Pixeet website.

When I choose shooting 180, it asked me enter lens code, what is it?
The only way to get a code is to buy a lens from pixeet!
